Project Background
A young family — returning clients — came to us to help update their recently purchased turn-of-the-last-century home, blending its historic character with their bright, colorful style. As part of the project, we transformed a small bedroom into a primary ensuite bathroom with vintage fixtures and a custom tile layout, upgraded the heating and cooling systems, and added a playful color palette throughout.
The Payoff
Though the new bathroom space came with a few design challenges, we were able to include everything on the homeowners’ wish list, from two console sinks and a walk-in shower to a custom storage cabinet with a tiled top, and detailed tilework that complemented an angled wall. The finished 9’ x 9’ room feels surprisingly spacious, with every element fitting just right.
Throughout the home, restored wood floors, whimsical new wallpaper, and updated wall colors—paired with contrasting trim and decorative molding—brought the whole project together, giving this vintage home a fresh new energy for its next chapter.
