A custom mantle where Mold-A-Rama memories steal the spotlight.
During a recent client photo shoot, we were delighted by the playful parade of colorful Mold‑A‑Rama figures marching across the custom fireplace mantle we designed for them. A mantle is more than a finishing touch — it’s a canvas for personality, where family photos, artwork, and cherished collectibles come together to set the tone for the entire home.
Our client’s Mold‑A‑Rama collection began recently with family trips to zoos and museums. Chicago boasts the most number of molded plastic machines, which can be found at the Lincoln Park and Brookfield zoos, the Field Museum, and throughout the Museum of Science and Industry. Her young son has joined in on the fun, hunting for new pieces to expand their growing collection.
Once they’ve gathered all the local creations, our client wonders about taking their Mold‑A‑Rama quest nationwide — and when that happens, we may just have to come back and build them a bigger mantle.
