We shuffled the deck on this hodge-podge jigsaw of a bathroom.

This bathroom suffered from a bad case of “make do with what you’ve got” (see the “before” photo below.) We upgraded the room in multiple ways: rotating the tub 90 degrees with a new tile surround, freeing the vanity from its cramped space behind the old tub area, and moving the toilet to the other side of the room next to the vanity.

The old radiator location caused nothing but problems; it was oddly tucked in the corner between the tub and vanity, so we replaced it with a cast-iron baseboard radiator. Next, we installed a new door in the existing opening to keep the period-authentic trim around the door and window. Finally, tile plank flooring replicates the look of wood without the danger of water damage.
